That's right, it's finally here – race week at NTCity2Surf!
Leading up to the race there are a few things I'd like you to remember.
Before NTCity2Surf
- You have done the work. Relax and soak up all of the excitement you have for the event.
- Stick to your program. Have confidence in your training, but most importantly, yourself.
- Hydrate well everyday until the event.
- Familiarise yourself with the NTCity2Surf Event Booklet for tips and information on racing times.
On the day of NTCity2Surf (Sunday 26th June)
- Don't eat anything new, bulky or too spicy. On race day get up extra early, have some toast and about 500ml of water.
- Arrive to the event early so you can; easily find parking, collect your race number, find a toilet stop and begin your preparing your mindset.
- Do a light warm up of about 5 minutes of easy running with a few accelerations or run throughs to stretch those legs out. Dynamic leg and arm swings may help warm up your whole body.
- Remember to have fun!
After the race
- Be proud of making it to the finish line!
- Have an afternoon nap, elevate your legs and chill out because you deserve it.
